Drop tuners attach to the tuning pegs. Cause they change the tuning.

They make them for basses too. It’s just a little thing that attaches to the tuning peg. Hipshot makes one that can tune to D or C and back to E.

how close are the fender noiseless single coils (found in fender PLUS models) close to lace sensors?

I thought his signature model would be cool to own. big strat head, string through body, maple neck. It's something I've always wanted in a strat. the dimarzio I could change if they were not the best.

They’re called Hipshot Xtenders, although I’m 99% sure they used to be called D-Tuners

IIRC he bitched about the lack of promotion and felt they tried to cut costs on the guitar. He did say he loved the final product though.
