moving on: transgenderism, on the other hand, seems to me to be contingent upon extrinsic factors, so is much broader (and not necessarily a superset of transsexualism, or at least transsexualism with a biological basis, assuming that turns out to be a thing). all i was trying to say there was that, if you buy ye olde macaque lesson, it's reasonable to expect transsexual persons to generally identify as transgender, and, further, that they won't necessarily have a good insight as to why, because as a species we're fairly useless when it comes to that kind of thinking. the local conditions for what constitutes a "woman" or "man" aren't really relevant.

(parenthesised as it's tangential: of course a girl whose body doesn't fit within stereotypical physical parameters doesn't have a "wrongly sexed body"! that's nuts.)
