This is the only kurt docu I've seen... there was another with Michael Stipe, can't remember the title. I'm waiting for Amazon to get Montage up.

I'm trying to find the quote where Kurt says he started the band as a "Gang of Four and Scratch Acid rip-off"

Kurt had good tastes

I Think That I Would Die has the most wonderfully vocalized "Fuck you" ever recorded

well, no. Which kinda raises a few doubts about her ability to create a cheat sheet of Kurt's handwriting so that she could forge a suicide note.

I feel like she'd be more the type to involve herself in his death, rather than let the whole thing be written off as a lonely suicide. A staged self-defense scenario, for example, would have meant more publicity for herself.

Do you say that because you think they're similar bands? Or just of that moment or something.

The former I would consider fighting words

I agree with this. Doll Parts is a particular favorite, as are Awful, Heaven Tonight, Malibu, Petals. I actually really like Celebrity Skin, probably because it was the first Hole record I heard.

I haven't listened to anything post Celebrity Skin though. And I don't listen to Pretty on the Inside as much as CS or LTT.

he did way more than that. these are just the songs he did so much for that clove couldn't get around crediting him.
if it was up to her, his name wouldn't have been on the credits. (dunno where i got that, but i'm saying it anyway. ha!)

he also played bass on hit so hard and petals.
and he co-wrote malibu. not boys on the radio, as far as i know.

I just mean he's pretty much not open to the charm of big chord hooky rock music, especially any band that there is already a consensus on if you should enjoy them or not. If you're implying that one of those bands is far better than the other and that the better band is Hole I have to respectfully disagree but horses for courses.

I'm pretty sure that's Fuzzy you're thinking of, included it on his brilliant best-albums-of-THAT-decade list. Pretty sure Elph is still convinced that Weezer is a frat douche band for that kind of bro that wears hats or something and not the greatest god damn pop rock band to ever grace the earth.

I like Pinkerton but it's no LTT or CS.

And Beverly Hills is the worst song ever I think.

well yeah but if you're going to judge Weezer on the back of that song you may as well judge SP by the virtues of their last single.

I like MTAE! But point taken. For pop rock I look to alkaline trio's first five albums.

But I guess we'd need to define pop rock

The ultimate pop rock song. Skiba having bronchitis or whatever when they recorded this album was such a great accident.

It would be pretty impressive if they could perform on a ferris wheel though.
