Well I just listened to it last week but I got the impression he was shit-talking the song, not just mad it sounded like something else. exactly. his pre-07 voice was really powerful and unique. technically though, he was an awful singer but i still gladly eat up anything billy sung from SP's inception up until 2000.

what is up with this god awful vibrato and dropped consonants he's been pushing for a decade now, he never did that even when was taking singing lessons, or at least it wasn't too noticeable. jesus christ, how can someone get worse at singing after taking lessons, how did billy pull that off.

accurate. technically bad in the 90s. took lessons and got better for awhile learned to contorl his v oice live much more. then it all fell apart. he is technicallly better singer now like he's pushing from the right places you know. but it sounds so so bad. really this is the worst thing from him I have ever seen

also the worst consonant dropping ever. he got better about it for a few years but he's actually just singing vowel sounds in some of these songs.

I didn't wanna watch any of the clips but I don't know why anyones surprised. His voice has been bad live for a long while now. The redeemable factor in his performances is the instrumental musicianship and you're not gonna get much of that in an acoustic solo setting.
