this looks like it should be the new logo of the conservative party of canada. as a staunch detractor of our PM stephen harper and his plan to spend ~$40 billion on fighter jets this makes me throw up in my mouth a little.

If the NHL ever wants to become popular then this is the season they need to put all their marketing might into it. With the NBA Lockout most likely taking a chunk out of the season, if not the entire season, the NHL will have no competition.

I doubt that, because they've done an amazingly shitty job of marketing their league up until this point. I'm not really expecting them to suddenly get how to do it now.

I have to agree to some extent. kinda lame. But the old colors for the team were red white and blue as well. Seems to me that they could have riffed a bit more on the old Jets artwork without getting all military.

Plane had former NHLers Pavol Demitra, Josef Vasicek, Karlias Skrastins, and was coached by former Detroit Red Wing Brad McCrimmon.

Olympic gold medallist (2006) and Swedish national team goalie Stefan Liv also was on the flight.
