This is great, thanks.
I prefer this version of Billy - much more likeable and candid - but there's also an element of self-deprecation and the whole idea of Ogilala needing to "work". I mean, it does work, Netphoria has been overwhelmingly positive about it. Moreso than any of his SP2 output. It's a great record - his best solo record, and I'd appreciate a part 2. But... then elsewhere he veers into Stern or Infowars Billy and it's hard to relate or pin him down. And if Ogilala repeats MTAE or does worse commerically, does that mean he cans the whole Rubin collaboration again? That's just a road to Billy never being happy with his musical career. Album #2 shouldn't rely on the success of album #1. |

Great interview, I find it funny how William remains so deadpan when he talks about Spin employees taking drugs. Like you expect him to crack and smile or give a little chuckle to signify it's a joke but nope.
Anyone know what the legal issues are with Zwan/Machina re-issues? If he owns it all then what's the hold up? |

He implied there was no legal hold-up with the Zwan stuff.
He's just hoarding it until Machina gets resolved. 65 studio tracks plus live performances (Glasshouse pls) is a hefty box set... ...which we will never see. |
