We had friends visiting over the last week and went to universal studios yesterday. I felt too sick to join in on any of the rides so just sat around like a sad sack listening to crap like Smash Mouth's All Stars playing on repeat. They have a Waterworld show here in Singapore LOL.

We met these friends in Sydney but they're originally from PRC, and my friend was like "That show was quite good I think, but the movie was not. The movie was rubbish." I couldn't believe she'd actually seen Waterworld. I told her I watched the first five minutes but it was basically just Kevin Costner, and it was so boring I gave up. She said "Oh is that who it was. I remember it was big Hollywood actor but I couldn't remember who."

I feel like nobody wanted the show in California or anywhere else so they just shipped it to Singapore where people unquestioningly consume terrible American entertainment because you know, what else is there. It's all the same.
