its amazing how the rich guys convinced so many proletarians that this is a truth

also how come it's so hard to figure out that the economy would be more stable if the consumers could consume i mean the money goes back to them anyway TRICKLE UP ECONOMICS

In the UK we have Tax Credits (unless the current gov got rid of them?).

It's a wage top up from the government depending on how many children you have, how much you have in savings etc. So you can be on minimum wage at £5ph or whatever but actually doing ok because the gov top up your wages so that you can actually afford a house and food.

Apparently this takes up more of the well fare bill than out of work benefits. Some companies are apparently quite happy to pay their employees fuck all because they know the government will top up their wages anyway.

Also the conservative party (and press) often complain and campaign about our high benefit bill and how lazy workshy people are bleeding us dry. When actually as I said the benefit bill is mostly going towards people who are in full time employment but having to get tax credits because minimum wage isn't a living wage.

It's similar to here in the US where employees that work at Wall-Mart and the like are encouraged to apply for food stamps by the company.

Basically the gov is paying the company's employees for them

the best part is how our veterans are treated about the same as walmart employees except of course walmart doesn't ask you to risk your life for bullshit

Sometimes I think let the Republicans kill all the assistance programs and see how fast Walmart and McD get shut down by strikes

the people who work at wal-mart are mostly anti union as is most of the country, it's not skilled labor so they can be replaced with ease, they are also contractually obligated like most customer service sector jobs not to associate with unions at risk of termination

This can't be contractually obligated because it is technically illegal.

ive had those clauses in most of my paperwork, first job i ever had was at a grocery store in 99 and that was in the paperwork. RATM had already turned me into a marxist aT THAt point so i was esp sensitive to it

is it legal in some states and not in others?

ultimately the rest of what i said is true, walmart is the bottom of the bin as far as skilled labor is concerned
