Fans in Asheville
Who are some of your favourite local groups and/or performers?
I've just lately started to appreciate the local music scene. |

I'm a fan of the hippies with their drums and their LSDs.

Yeah, they're pretty entertaining. Especially on Friday nights.

So many nights wandering around downtown Asheville and mingling with the local hippies. What are the hot spots these days? I have been in a while. I always enjoyed Charlotte St. Pub.

Oh yeah, I've been there once. I actually considered applying for a job, but who knows?
Sunday was the Lexington Avenue Arts Fun Festival aka LAAFF festival. That can be entertaining if you ignore the massive heat. |

I missed Belle Cher this year but just plugged in a montage of Belle Cher memories past where the time would have been and am just as happy.

I went with my significant other all three days. It was really hot and crowded (to be expected). But, this was one of the hottest years! There were actually several good bands.
At LAAFF on Sunday, there was this coverband playing during a burlesque show. Very entertaining, also. |

I'll be up there on Friday night for Girl Talk and Dan Deacon. Talk about dance party '07.

Hm, I haven't even heard of that. But, I'm sure if I look hard enough I'll see something about it.
