This song is fucking great. How is this from the Zeitgeist era? It's like the songwriting ability is still there, but the second Billy is involved in actually playing the song it gets tainted

it's a good song for sure.
and yes, billy seems to not be able to not fuck up the production of anything he records and he sings oddly and without passion. that's a big part of the problem. |
