Best cover they ever did was never let me down, and they took that out.

Also, james should’ve had at least 2 songs. What happened to the boy?

Fuck covers.

To be honest, I think this would be a perfect show for a casual fan if it was shorter (and tickets more affordable). It's the perfect scenario for those who only want to hear the singles and watch a circus spectacle with lights and stuff.

D'arcy clearly was not kidding when she said Bullz wants to be Marilyn Manson. MM still changes costumes during the set. Bullz did it, what, 4-5 times?
So 4 uninspired covers.
A very strange choice in opening with Disarm. (You could have gone tonight into rocket)
A very stilted setlist.

I was pissed off before but I am glad D'arcy was not involved. Though looking over the set, damn they had a lot of hits or well known radio songs.

Yeah I'm not sure I could imagine D'Arcy fitting into all this.

Saying that the type of show it is lends itself to a potential guest spot. I can see where Billy was coming from with the "Adler" style offering.

It would have been awkward, because people at the show would be like: Why the fuck isn't she playing the whole show if she's here? Why the fuck do they need that 20 something guy on bass? Especially since Billy's idea was for her to play a few songs at every show, it would have just confused fans. She needed to be the bass player in the band so they could actually advertise this as an original lineup reunion. She's different from Adler because she was there for the majority of the original run. Adler missed out on the entire Illusions era which was a major bulk of GNR's MTV/touring time, so he isn't as important to the public image of that band's original run.

It would only make sense if a guest spot happened now at a show or two actually moreso than before, but as a means of reconciliation and to test the waters for her to be the full time bassist for a future tour, but I highly doubt we'll see that happen.

I actually think it'd be really smart business wise for D'arcy to just show up at a single show, maybe two (and not anything else unless offered full time), because it would then entice offers from festival and concert promoters who would specifically want the original band, not the 3/4 version touring now, after seeing the excitement generated by a full reunion performance. Her perception might be that a spot like that would be them using her, but if she kept it very limited, she could use it as leverage for a huge offer. It'd be different than the Adler thing.

When it comes to D'arcy fitting in as the full time bassist on this tour, the whole thing would come off way better if she was there. It's pretty much entirely focused on nostalgia and iconic past SP imagery, which feels kind of awkward and forced without her there, especially having to edit the old shots from music videos to shots that exclude her.

She could play a few songs and sing a few other songs. They'd probably play Dreaming and Daydream with her on the vocals.

I would probably be embarrassed to be a part of that show, if I was her. She's not known for putting up with Bill's antics.

Oh yeah, she's out and I highly doubt we see her until a Hall of Fame induction someday. It's interesting to talk about though!

If D'arcy was there though, there would probably be more of a push and pull when it came to some elements I would think. We'll never know for sure!

Jesus, these video projections and outfits are f'ing cringe worthy. Embarrassed watching that opening Zero video of Billy being all dramatic and artsy fartsy. It seems all out of place with the rest of the band dressing normally and not acting like pretentious twat like Billy. Once again, Billy turns this faux reunion into the Billy show.

Dude I was thinking the same thing. Like he actually did it, he actually made the "reunion" all about himself.

I think he came up with this show idea when he did the plainsong stuff.and the only way he could get people to bite was by selling it as a reunion.

I appreciate they did video stuff for the tour. But the beauty was in the simplicity of the videos that were on the MCIS tour. And Bullzy having an elevated platform and not playing a guitar is him being the pretentious twat he obviously always was. It's sickening the darkness of this guy's soul when it comes to the lust for fame and acceptance.
Sell out. Literally.

No wonder all the other bands were like fuck this douche.

The crowd look DEAD. Strange. Guess maybe once the tour progresses and fans have seen clips, they'll know what to expect. It was a very unexpected presentation for SP.

All cynicism aside, if this show comes to Dublin I'll definitely go.

I get all the comments re: D'arcy, but the point is, the focus of the show wouldn't have worked the same way if she was there. Like, "the Billy show". He gets away with it because of the four other reasonably anonymous, black dressed, band members. If D'arcy was there with the long silver hair, she'd be a focus all by herself.

I agree that I could see her balking at the concept of the presentation. Maybe she already did, and that's why Billy cut her involvement?

The Zero intro video is reminiscent of what Machina could have been. Is this supposed to be Machina but going back to Zero instead of Glass? I'm confused.

And the Space Oddity thing really is awkward and strange.

This is weird, guys. Even for Bollz.
