Last.fm shows listener counts by song for Monuments to an Elegy. Being Beige presently 5,141 to One and All's 172.

Before I trust the data I'll give it a week or two. There could be some edge effects that would distort the OAA count more so than the BB count (e.g. maybe they update the numbers once a week and OAA only got one day in the week before it closed).

It's interesting that all other tracks have one listener except Run 2 Me which has none.

You have to listen to at least 50% of a song before it gets scrobbled to last.fm so I'm guessing if someone has a copy Run 2 Me is so bad they couldn't make it past a minute and a half.

Just going by the preview I think this album may have been released too fast. I think it needed more time and possibly even a new direction. There are a few good ones in there, but overall they needed more work...more leads and solos for one. Critically put, songs like Run 2 Me should of just been placed in the trash can. The mixing and vocals needed more time. Also length of the album is too short. From a big picture perspective I would of suggested holding off on releasing it until next year. Instead of making two albums just make one very solid one, this particular album isn't what I would consider solid, far from it. My hope is with the next album in the works its a completely different work carrying some of those emotions from older Pumpkins songs that we all love. A song like Burnt Orange Black gives me hope (minus the annoying back up singers voice), very old school pumpkins vibe to it, hopefully that will be the new direction.

As I've made the decision to abandon (for now) QUEEN OF THE MEADOW and THAT OTHER TUNE (it doesn't have a name). The reasons for this are complex and having zero to do with liking the songs. In fact, they portend to interesting destinations, new and old, as both had a timeless quality that sounded 'Pumpkin' and futuristic. What turned me was feeling that the songs couldn't be presented in their best form without a whole lot more work; which we don't have time for. And with DAY FOR NIGHT calling, and a hellacious schedule coming up to promote MONUMENTS TO AN ELEGY, Jeff and I simply don't have the time.
