Question say, lower beings,

what do you think sounds better, the original Pisces Iscariot LP or the 2LP reissue? I'm not a fan of the vinyl reissues so far but the original has almost 60 minutes on one LP, which should destroy the sound.

how's the mastering on the reissue?

I never bought the reissue because of the glitches, so there's that.

always buy the original pressing unless there was something blatantly wrong with that one. only buy a reissue if buying the original is impossible because of either money or scarcity.

well nearly 60 minutes on one LP seems blatantly wrong enough for me

30 minutes a side is going to sound like shit.

original press of crammed vinyl vs new repress with digital glitching and new mixing

come on now (though i did forget about PI only being one disc initially)

tbh i would feel more comfortable (and did) buying the individual releases that compose 90% of PI

not to sound corny or anything but it definitely takes my love for the band to a whole new level. it's a great way to experience the framework of the early years of the band in a different format.

i would recommend any sp lover with a turntable to get their hands on at least lull and/or the i am one 12".

yeah i'm having exactly the same. i haven't been much of a fan the last 7 or so years but i bought some SP vinyl out of nostalgia and it's well worth it. It has really brought back my love for the band.

I'm well in favour of buying the originals instead of the re-issues, it's both expensive anyway. I have MCIS, Gish and Adore and the SD Singles box along with some other singles, so i need Siamese Dream and PI. Pisces is the only one where i'm considering buying the reissue.

I'd like TAFH too but i'm not considering buying it for 100 euros or more so i might never buy it.

Machina is considerably lower on my wantlist though, is it worth having for some reason that i'm not aware of?

Forgive my ignorance here, but since when does a Machina vinyl exist?

I'm asking this because a friend of mine bought a Machina vinyl back in 2002 or so, and he was so very proud of it that we were scared he'd freak out if we told him it was fake. So we didn't.

Were we wrong all along? Honest question.

Never mind - that was the Machina Picture Disc. So the original exists, and we were right that his was fake.

Idk whether to hold out for a rocket single or just scoop up the whole singles box. I have all the other colored singles.

Honest question here and you seem to be the guy to ask. It's probably a pretty obvious answer but it is one that I just thought of.

Is the version of "I Am One" released on Limited Potential the version of the song from the Reel Time demos (i.e. the one that is remixed on the bonus CD of Gish)?

nice

i keep going through transitions where i would or would not buy one if i saw it but i'm not going to pay any more than $75 for one. that seems to be the bottom price, so it's a dragon to chase.

i haven't yet crossed the line where i'm saving searches on ebay or anything...
i'm also starting to believe the chances on scoring a lone rocket single are pretty slim.

i'm sure you've tried discogs?

discogs selling history:

Last sold on Feb 06, 2013
€21.31 Average
€19.22 Median
€35.00 Highest
€11.81 Lowest

i'm not sure the discogs sales history is entirely trustworthy or up-to-date, but these prices seem quite a bit lower than you said. on the other hand, not one Rocket single is for sale at the moment. 1500 pressed it says, that's nothing!
