is shit like PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR indicative of what the rap genre is these days
is this even a rap song?
whatever it is, this is the most atrocious thing i have ever heard. and the fact that i have to listen to shit like this on a fairly regular basis just infuriates me. |

i mean i can listen to fucking "London Bridge" in certain settings and it can put a smile on my face or whatever. but Party Like a Rock Star has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and the fact that it's popular really, really disturbs me. T Pain's Bartender and that 50 Cent/JT collaboration make me feel the same way. ugh. utterly disgraceful. |

yeah this song makes me want to kill myself because hope just drains from my body for humanity when it comes on... on the other hand, that nas album Hip Hop is Dead is great. Best stuff I've heard since the 90's when people cared.

Good, now we've all gone through the acceptance of black culture, can we please start ignoring it again rather than aspiring towards it?

the 'party like a rockstar' song reminds me of the 'im the owner of the strip club' song....i used to have to play that daily whenever there were black girls dancing there, they all loved it.
all this rap shit about living large and being in charge. Last edited by MrPantyFAce : 09-02-2007 at 05:27 PM. |

yeah, my wife is a teacher at an inner-city school, and those kids LOVE party like a rockstar. she says they walk down the hall singing it, and idoloze all that bullshit. Personally, I can't stand that song. There is another one out now that is just as dumb. It's about how a girl looks good and she "got it from her momma." and "if a girl is hot it's cuz her momma's hot.".......so stupid.

I've been in innercity schools all my life and it's pretty sad to see that mentality and behavior becoming more and more apparent elsewhere. Rap has been a joke for about 10 years now and its influence is getting out of hand. Just another marketing device like most music, but more dangerous than rock ever was. Rappers on CONSTANTLY on the news for crimes of every variety, yet no one seems to think this is a problem. Metal had a huge court case only over their lyrics, and that was such a big deal. Whatever, the white corporate pushers of this shit are gonna get it once it starts affecting them at home.
And for some reason it's becoming cute for suburban kids who aren't wiggers or guidos to appreciate it and think they're down. Like all them aspiring Pitchfork writers over at mandarkzilla.blogspot |
