they're probably not responding because you haven't posted any demos.

e-mail them again and give them a piece of your mind, since they obviously don't wanna talk to you anymore

My old best friend/next door neighbor won't e-mail me back. Something happened between me and his girlfriend.
Frankly, I was the one courting (holy fuck do I sound old) her, and he just asked her out. Neither action was square. |

i was going to proclaim this much earlier in the thread but for some reason didn't. me four.
when i signed up for a facebook, there was this rash of friend requests from people i hadn't spoken to in over a decade since i was 10. i only replied to the first few before i realized i didn't want to talk to these people really. mostly because none of them had any demos. |

i dont bother responding if its someone that was in my class and talked with a little bit, if we were close friends we dont need facebook to find each other (hypothetically since i wasnt close with very many people in high school anyways.)

interesting though, that so many of you are this antisocial
but how many many of you have actually gone looking for old friends? one of the people i recently contacted was actually a secret high school crush of mine and i just wanted to know how she was doing...i mean she ended up going to some fancy art school so i wouldn't exactly be surprised if she was too arrogant to talk to me now, but i think i messaged her about a year ago or just over, and she replied then, so why not now, i thought. is it totally creepy/past-dwellin' to suddenly decide you wanna catch up with/possibly potentially ask out your old crush because you regret not doing it 4 years ago when you had the chance, or is it commendable that i'd rather say "fuck it" and just give it shot anyway? i mean she sorta ambiguously liked me too so i can see alot of things less likely to happen than me getting a reply from an old acquaintance. idk :/ |

i looked up my first 'girlfriend.' her dad was in the army and when we were in the third grade they were transfered to germany. i would hear stories about her until middle school through our first grade teacher (my mom is an elementary principal and is good friends with her). the last i had heard is she had moved back to the states and was somewhere in the midwest.
anyway i tried to find her. and i did. she died in a car accident her freshman year of college. i decided people fall out of contact with each other for a reason. |

Every once in a while my mom will mention on the phone "Oh, did you hear so-and-so is getting married??" and every time I say "No...not really."
"Oh and such-and-such is having a baby." "Oh yeah? That's....cool." "And then what's-her-face is working at the bank now!" "Oh, that's nice." I think she just really can't accept that I don't talk to any of them and really really really don't want to. |

we drove past paris and liz and thom told me bits about you, ravenguy! only good, of course. but i noticed everyone, not just liz's mom- was [on different levels] giving liz their share of this sort of talk. not just about old friends but anyone known of in town. being around that was alarmingly draining as fuck without having noticed until i left.

Most of my friends on facebook I couldn't give a fuck about, ... I dunno.. I guess I'm bullshit in that sense ... .maybe I just like to hover over everyone else's life and get the gossip etc. I'm not above that yet.
