it's my gramma's birthday today. we're all supposed to hang out with her. i don't want to because she is generally a terrible person to be around, putting down everyone in our family, complaining constantly, calling waiters "boy".

my parents grandma and i all live in colorado now. gramma was getting old and the family collectively made the decision to move her out here into a senior living place. my mom's brother is still in florida

it's been hard on everyone involved, especially my mom who has had to endure this shit since she was born. mom was never skinny enough, or pretty enough and gramma always reminds her of this. i say that in the present tense because it still happens. points out how my mom has always had a weight problem. she pits people against each other by talking shit behind their backs.

A "weight problem" isn't like a drinking problem, which as we've seen can hurt others a lot. It isn't like a drug problem, which is like drinking. Gambling, etc. weight is some way that someone can kill themselves and only themselves a little faster. This is a problem more meaningful on a large scale (hyuck) but concern trolls and family members that make this their problem are a real problem

I have a grandfather who is truly just a human turd. In the last few years I have really come to terms with the fact that this is just a lousy, shitty human being who has never contributed anything especially worthwhile to the world, is a racist piece of Trump-supporting trash, and has done an incredible amount of just evil shit to his own family. He's not really a smart person but has a ton of money because he was born into it basically. He got kicked out of college for being a lazy stupid fuckhead literally 5 times but managed to become a doctor anyway because of his father's money.

His racism has become really intolerable to me and we have had some very tense exchanges in the last few years because I don't let that shit slide anymore. Then the rest of my family gets pissed at me because they are also just white assholes.

Hard to say whether I should try to be nice in hopes of an inheritance. #SorryNotSorry
