You people need calm the fuck down. It's the lead radio single. You're expecting a "Silverfuck" or "Geek U.S.A." to rope in new fans?

Stop freaking out and wait until the album is released before writing off the band and Billy.

I guess the difference is that BWBW might have actually sounded different in 1995. Whereas Tarantula in 2007 sounds like a rip-off of other popular bands from the last year and a half.

plus: i really, really wonder if this is the way that billy wanted his fans to hear the first seconds of the new pumpkins...

30 seconds of the CHORUS of the song, which gets repeated over and over. the song is 3:47 seconds so we have heard at least 1/3 of the song if the chorus even gets played 3 times. so FUCK OFF IDIOT

Billykicker you are such a faggot.

It's a 30 second clip (in like the shittiest quality) of a 50+ minute album.
Just STFU already.

It's a 4 chord rock song that says Despite All My Rage I'm Still Just A Rat In A Cage.
I love the song live but gimme the MCIS non-singles any day.

again, you fucks take refuge in the clips 30 seconds but we have basically heard the majority of this song: don't you know what a chorus is?

This 30 second clip just sounds like a mixture of SP and Zwan.

Which makes perfect sense in the scheme of things.

What is he saying, exactly?

"You're ****
**** never was
just because

You're ****
will you have enough?

You're ****
someone gave us sound

I wanna be there when you're happy
I wanna love you when you're sad

*** in the moment"

I don't know.. that's what I hear

The first two words I hear could be:

You're free
You're for real
Young free
Young, for real

None of which make that much sense.

I can't think of anything else that fits. "You're for real" kind of makes sense, I guess.

I love how you people are comparing a THIRTY SECOND CLIP to Zwan. Why, b/c it has Billy's vocals and guitar playing?

I bet it if was a :30 clip of "Try Try Try" people would be saying the same shit.

quality of the song is amazing.

but, Billy's voice are not made to sing sweet.

and what's this lyric???

just with Billy singing more manly and cool lyrics, this song would have been awesome...

Maybe he wants new fans.the MCR crowd. Everyone is saying its a cross of green day and MCR, that should go well with that radio crowd.

Its a smart move. It might piss off half of your hardcore fans, but they are still going to be there. If you can gain a large amount of new fans, and reinvent yourself, its a risk he might be taking.

Regardless, this is a 30 second clip, like you said..it might work with the rest of the song.
