or I'd simply put it like, humans are social animals, our dominance structures are cultural and societal not solely instinctual
ah, I see what you're saying now. yeah, when we talk about evolutionary neurobiology and psychology, i see it as a starting point. obviously culture is extremely important to human interactions, social structures, etc. but i see that more as a modification of existing evolutionary mechanisms that are hard-wired into our brains. eventually the "social evolution" (if you will) of humans modifies brain structures - this is not a one way thing. however, human consciousness has expanded extremely rapidly in the past 10,000 years from all we can tell. whether this is due to a specific technological breakthrough (such as agriculture allowing us to settle in one place for long periods of time, have more stable and better access to nutrients, etc) or not is debatable and unfalsifiable. so it is interesting to recognize that human brains are not yet completely adapted to this new world, and here we are rapidly adding things like transportation to anywhere in the world within hours, communication like the printing press, post office, telephone, internet, social media, etc

i guess what i'm trying to say it's not unreasonable to think we work like lobsters in some respects, but we are just much more complex both in our brains, culture, dexterity, etc etc that it is really just the tiniest starting point to say that. and, for humans, "strength" is not only physical strength or the ability to maim fellow humans. it is about ability to cooperate, intellectual ability, ability to earn resources like money, reputation, and all sorts of things. physical strength may be a small part of that, but it isn't very important. i figured this dude was using the lobster analogy in this way, since obviously we aren't just like lobsters. but he appears to just be that stupid, so i apologize for defending him

RBG lacks the critical awareness necessary to understand why a young man from India would find the hyper-political correctness craze in America to be a bit much...

oh really tell me about India. Tell me about how knowledgeable you are about Indian society. I am eager to learn.

It seems like you are just spouting off some complete fucking nonsense, but if you can elaborate, I'm here listening

No, I'm serious. I'm waiting for Fuzzy "Indian women are the hairiest in the world" Roes to explain what about Indian society he is talking about that makes being serious about ethnic, religious, and gender respect so far-fetched

There's actually a disproportionately large amount of people here from Quebec.

On the other hand, the amount of people from Tuvalu on this board is disproportionately low. It's a small country, but a total of zero Tuvaluans is completely disproportionate.

It would be proportionate if Tuvalu had zero inhabitants but it doesn't now does it?

DOES IT?

Now we're waiting on at least two projects for fuzzy to bring to light.

Well, Tuvalu seems to have just under 11,000 people according to a 2012 census. That's a rather tiny group of people on a global scale; if, and only if, we consider interest in TSP the most common factor that introduces new members to the board, one assumes that if there were any native Tuvaluans interested in the band, they'd have signed up much earlier than now, even given that the band never toured there during the heyday. And many years later, at the current new membership rate of, what, a few new members a year? - the odds of an influx of native Tuvaluans seems rather remote given the group's current level of fame or lack thereof.

And so I am inclined to disagree - staring my kind hosts straight in the eyes, levelly and calmly, as I do so - and suggest that a membership level of approximately zero Tuvaluans for these here parts seems pretty damn proportionally correct.

Toodle Loo would've been the breakthrough SP hit in Tuvalu, unfortunately BC shelved it.

My songs written and worked out and ready for recording. Shouldn't be much longer before I upload it. I'm not gonna spend too much time making the recording perfect. It will have subsequent guitar overdubs though.

I kinda stole the guitar lick for the Seven Mary Three song "Waters Edge" though

That's probably why none of your former bandmates called when their new groups were being put together.

I was going to join a new group with a guy from the old band, but he was set on making strictly pop-punk music and the other guy in his band was obsessed with Blink 182. It wasn't my cup of tea... I don't think they've ever really got anywhere in all the years subsequently (big surprise)

Lol well I wasn't really expecting any anticipation. But I'm a man of my word, and I have been meaning to record more stuff, so this will kinda get me outta the funk. I wrote the song in about 20 minutes. The lyrics still aren't set in stone, but I know the melody, and I'm just gonna free style. It has some cool guitar solos worked out though.

I'm gonna start the recording tomorrow
