the new wilco, blonde redhead, fratellis(thats right), blow(the album they released but had been done a while back), tokyo police club, chevelle, twilight sad, cloud cult, patrick wolf, dinosaur jr., and thee more shallows have all been solid and may factor into my top 20.

i finally got around to listening to johnny and the moon along with the new jarvis cocker and cocorise, all pretty good on first listen. also listened to a few tracks by this mando diao band, sound like a poppier version of the strokes, and also got introduced to nick cave with grinderman, which i havent listened to properly yet. all on the loong drive back from irvine to glendale and a few places in between, it was raining pretty bad in cali earlier. well, bad relative to whatever we usually get.

who the fuck are the new pissed jeans

God, I was so disappointed by the Avey Tare album. Fuck. Anyhow, besides things people have mentioned, here are a few I liked:

Love of Diagrams "Mosaic"
The Chinese Stars "Listen to Your Left Brain"
The Maccabees "Colour it In"
Sister Vanilla "Little Pop Rock"
hollAnd "The Paris Hilton Mujahideen"
Cloud Cult "The Meaning of 8"
Dinosaur Jr. "Beyond" (okay that one was a little obv)
The National "Boxer" (also kinda obv)
