The gothic dance night in my pub brings out all sorts of goths. From the classic subdued '80s ones to thr industrial steampunk guys, and everything in between.

I try not to be too judgemental about it. I've usually stayed away from anyone with a top hat and goggles, but I talked to one of those guys the last time I was there, and he was actually pretty cool. It's a ridiculous and cringy aesthetic, but I try not to be as big an asshole about matters of aesthetics anymore. If you're cool and feel comfortable in a steampunk cosplay getup, more power to you.

and i'm an enormous Anne Rice (well, Vampire Chronicles up until Blood Canticle when it got destroyed) fan but would despise any interaction with other fans. it's not something i can discuss, or want any further input on.
