opinions on the new Soft Moon album?
Man this stuff puts to shame most post-punk and new wave revival stuff from the last decade. It reminds me of Seventeen Seconds era Cure and Joy Division but more electronic / robotic sounding. Also kind of reminds me of Movement by New Order which isn't too far from Joy Division either.

That's the first album which I haven't listened to in a while. Have you checked out their second album yet?

I've downloaded zero's and have played it literally 8-9 times whole. It's very very very good! Reminds me of Pornography, my favorite Cure album.
The first album I couldn't download anywhere, you got a link for that one? |

I get most of my music from Soulseek. But I do know a guy on there who sometimes gives me links to albums. I'll try to see if I can get a link from him.

love the soft moon. great bunch of kids. always reminded me of a more aggressive combination of lycia's first record & neu. you guys would probably also love deathday and kvb, as far as modern bands are concerned. and if you guys aren't up on early killing joke yet...

The Cinematics were a good post punk band that were around a few years ago. They sound similar to Interpol and Joy Division. I would suggest their first album A Strange Education. White Lies have a more synth friendly post punk sound. I would get their new one Ritual.

cinematics sound nothing like the soft moon, though. if you want more of that kind of sound, i recommend Deathday, Tropic of Cancer, and the KVB.
