I've only ever driven through... never spent anytime.

Downtown is a wasteland, save for DeLaney Plaza/6th Floor Museum and West End (lol). Get a car and drive out to another area, or take DART or the train to Ft Worth.

Stars vs Ducks is always entertaining, even if they lose. I would highly recommend it, especially with how cheap tickets are these days.

several people I'm traveling with are on their way right now to see the site of the JKF assasination.

So far, I'm not liking Dallas. I'm stuck at the Hotel. Can't walk anywhere. You can get a cab at the hotel, but it's almost impossible to hail one anywhere else. no public transportation. I'm a mile and a half away from the hockey arena and can't figure out how to walk there.

what? there is public transportation.. there is a train station less than a three minute walk from where jfk was shot. but you're right about the cab thing; they aren't very popular in dallas unless you're hanging around the uptown area with the yuppies.
