Default i'm really impressed by how the band is sounding on this tour

maybe playing the same set every night is a good thing.. the band only need to work at 20 or so songs and due to this they can spend more time with making the songs work.. rather than trying to rehearse about 70+ songs.

the arrangements sound a lot better this time around, as does the performances in general.. the band is starting to sound like it's gelling.

most importantly.. bill's voice sounds a hell of a lot better here.. he's singing with passion again, and he seems to have rid away with that poor habit of not pronouncing the consonants to nearly every lyric.

Eye sounds incredible, probably the best i've ever heard the tune. Siva is great too.. i was worried billy would dull this with his latest vocal style but it sounds like he's singing it like he means it.. good choice in material too, lots of post MCIS/pre Adore material.. probably some of the bands best and most promising work at that time.

Also loving the trippy/psychedelic improvs, like in siva and set the controls.. a direction id like to see the pumpkin go in when writing new material. also superchrist is rocking hard, incredible drumming on jimmy's part.

speed kills also sound great. I dunno i ust really enjoyed this latest boot and it's been a while since i've enjoyed anything from the SP in a while.

This is exactly how I think about the new shows too. Billy is singing with passion again and he seems really into it.

I think a little bit of fog would have added a lot to the light show. I thought the Davenport show was excellent.

Couldn't have said it any better paranoid.

Seeing them live on this tour redefined my love for this band. Not only are they sounding their best, but they are also having so much fun up there. Billy was all smiles and energetic. Dancing and jumping around stage, it was great.

I agree on the direction of Siva/Set the Controls. If they can start to make that trippy sound in the studio I'd be nothing more than happy. I mean he did say he wanted a trippy sounding record...this may be the direction he is going.

This band is getting to be at the top of its game and it was quite possibly the best 2 and half hours of my life seeing them in Davenport!

Brilliant.

"What do you recommend I do?"

"I recommend you stop being such a faggot... you're in the back seat".

i agree. cant wait to see them again, and can't wait to hear the next album.

compared to the show i saw last year, i definitely saw a much happier band / billy. billy was dancing like a mofo, really getting into shit.

this is just the start of this tour, so i can't imagine what they'll be like at the end of the month. you lucky fuckers.

Amen!

Lack of Zeitgeist songs is also really helping their sound...

Oh yeah, I was amazed at how well they preformed Againx3. And that little white piano that Lisa was on for the acoustic set sounded fantastic with the songs. Really created a good mood. I must say though, right when they started playing Once Upon a Time...I turned to my friend and was in awe. The I went Falling part was so beautiful.
