my friend got the me neutral milk hotel vinyl box set
such a treasure trove
2x12", 2x10", 3x7" including a beautiful picture disc all the vinyl sounds flawless and fantastic 2 large beautiful posters as well  |

While the product itself blew my mind, the attention to detail about the packaging almost impressed me more.
I ordered it off the official site when it first went up, and it came in the mail a few months later. It always seems to me that mailed vinyl comes with at LEAST a dog ear. This was bubble-wrapped with extreme attention to detail, then placed into a box. On each of the four sides were padded corners. THEN that box was put inside ANOTHER box with the same treatment. In there also came a note that I'll have to scan for this thread later... but again, it was evident that the OCD tendencies of Jeff Mangum (see: him coming out AFTER his roadies had set up his instruments to move each guitar just a hair towards/away/closer to the others) had been at play in the mailing of the item. It really made a super cool item (one of the raddest box sets I own) feel even more special. |
