They surprisingly asked some hard questions to most of the candidates imo. Trump knows he needs to get the focus off of his character and talk about being a diplomatic big swinging dick, which Americans love to hear.

They focused especially hard on him, but any chance he got to speak was just winning him more support. "I have friends who use the tax laws to their advantage - I'm not gonna say who they are because I don't want to embarrass them."

The sad part is Huckabee is one of the most intelligent people on that stage. He's batshit but he's not stupid like Jeb is.

Also Dr. Carson was especially disappointing because he appeared kind of unintelligent... which is a letdown for someone with by far the best non-Trump credentials.

I thought Megyn Kelly was unprofessional. I'm sure that everyone else up on that stage has made disparaging remarks about women too. Reading over on FOX's fb page... The delusions of the candidates aside, I don't understand why the GOP thinks putting on this clown show right now is good for their party. Nationally and in most states the Republican party has a political strategy that is based on the fact that they're a shrinking minority party. The way they're dealing with that is to gerrymander, suppress voting and get as much money into elections as possible. Publicly we keep hearing that they want to "reach out" to all the non white men in the country, but then everyone in positions of power in their party does nothing but prove to the world that they have no intention of representing anybody but old white men.

This clown show simply shows that they know their party has lost virtually every political argument. They aren't trying to reach out to anybody. And they're simply fighting over who gets to rule the ever shrinking pool of retards that make up their party
