They could just have guest vocalists doing some of the songs, i.e. Chino on Bodies. In fact, Chino would probably be one for Tales too, really

It was always the guitar part that was too fast to play live apparently.

Only some lyrics during a version of Silverfuck.

Someone on Insta asked Billy if he would play Ruby at an upcoming show and he gave some smartass response like, "Now that you asked, definitely no." God, what an insufferable dick.

A passionless XYU, yep. I saw them perform it front row on that tour, just looked like he was going through the motions, the band just didn't have the right level of intensity behind it

Yeah, the Byrne, Jeff, Nicole trio was about as laid-back as it got. They'd play these dark depressing songs with no urgency looking all jovial and Christian.

That sounds really sad. I'm glad I didn't see that, sheesh.

The Oceania album performance was tits though, I really liked that record and it was great live. Billy still seemed a bit reserved but overall the performance was good. The "hits" encore set was just a bit naff after that, would've preferred more new stuff than seeing Byrne ham-fist his way through the classic stuff. Mike is a really good drummer (technically speaking) and his playing on Oceania is fine, but his feel just didn't really come close enough to JC to make the older songs as enjoyable.

Yeah, I know most fans don't like Oceania but I feel it's Billy's most solid record since the reunion. The drumming on Zeitgeist is obviously vastly superior but so much of ZG just feels like Billy's half-assed attempt at reliving his glory days in the most generic way possible. American Gothic was more interesting but it's only 4 songs. I hate most of Teargarden and MTAE, and what we've heard so far from Shiny and Oh So Bright: Vol.1 The Beginning. The Middle. The End. The Post Credits Scene. The Hangover. The Title that Never Ends. doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the future. But there are a number of tracks in Oceania that I really dig, like Inkless, Chimera and yes even Quasar.

"Imagine having a film script, and a bunch of songs that go with the film script, and a story, and it could be made anyway,” frontman Billy Corgan said in a recent interview with KROQ. “The band could perform it onstage with visuals like the tour we just did [on the current ‘Shiny Oh So Bright’ tour]. You could enact it theatrically, which probably isn’t the optimal way to do it, because the band sort of needs to be part of the show.”

Corgan continued: “Or you could turn it into a musical movie, like Tommy or The Wall or something like that. Hopefully this will set the stage for that someday being released. With that said, ‘Mellon Collie’ was sort of written as a musical, but it was never explored publicly. We still are hopeful that as we go along we will be able to create similar shows around those albums [including Machina], in the way that we created a show around the Shiny tour.”

One thing that's been clear since 2007, is that BC's natural instincts drive away mainstream fans from the 90's. According to D'arcy, Billy needed money, so he went against his instincts with Shiny and Oh So Bright and played a straight hits set. I like this live album idea, but it will still upset the fans that show up wanting to hear Siamese Dream tracks. I love Machina but that would really only be enjoyed by hardcore fans.

He should skip straigh to the good stuff (that rocks) and play MTAE in full

As a bonus, your feet/back won’t start to hurt and you could get to bed on time ffs
