I'm looking for a DL of the 3 track Heart-Shaped Box single that came with the pre order of the super deluxe version because sadly I bought mine too late

I listened to about half of Serve The Servants before I got annoyed and just went and watched the Live & Loud DVD instead (Which is great btw). I'll give it as proper listen today.

The remaster itself sounds really good though.

in utero is easily their best album, is this mix better than the original? the devonshire mix of nevermind blows the original out of the water

Yeah yeah you're right about Devonshire; I see the Devonshire mixes as "the way Nevermind was supposed to sound". But this In Utero 2013 mix is not that.

Albini just did this long podcast interview about the album , which was really really interesting. The idea of this 2013 mix was to offer a different perspective on how the album could have been made. Albini has said they were showing different mixing choices they could have made but decided to not do at the time for whatever reason. So it is not meant to replace or top the orignal mix, but it's more a curiosity for fans to see the making of the album in some ways.

If it makes any sense, Albini said that if any album is a singular snapshot of a band at one time, this 2013 mix is the same picture but from a different angle.

Also of interest is that Albini said there is no secret In Utero mix which was "the way it was meant to be" because the album that was released was what the band intended you to hear, the alternate Litt mixes and all.
