I have mixed feelings on this approach. Like it's good but not great for everyone.

From what I can tell, it has created a pretty hierarchical system in Singapore. Very Confucian I think.

I dunno how my kids would take it but we'll have to wait and see I guess. Odds are they wouldn't be offered places anyway!

Some kids are little adults and embrace the bureaucracy and some just wanna ride their bikes all day so \_(ツ)_/

Personally I liked some aspects of school and feel like if I had a better home life that I'd volunteer more of my brain power towards doing well. I never felt like I had a goal or something to work towards. I was a little confused about what to do after high school or what to do with my life in general. Each grade I felt like I would rather die at the end of of it.

I enjoyed playing outside and being on the internet more than anything else. But I really think this was because of my environment. If I grew up somewhere else and happier it would have been different.

yes i am continuing to use it and yes it is helping, thanks.

with the tubes in i'm actually able to hold my nose and breath hard enough to pop my ears manually. when my ears are clear enough i'm literally creating a channel of air from my lungs through my sinuses and out the hole in my eardrum. so far i've only been able to do this with one side a few times but it's kinda amazing. i can hear the fluid going through the tube and it starts leaking out. my ears have been clogging and leaking a bit, especially one side, although my hearing hasn't been affected yet i probably will need to call and get an antibiotic or another small course of steroids just to help the fluid clear a little more.

Yes great so glad to hear! I still have a lot of congestion from my head cold or upper respiratory tract infection or whatever. Still the Flonase has helped so much. Why can't it all work properly though?

Yes my symptoms manifest themselves as allergies yet I have been allergy tested and don't have them. And I honestly do better outside than inside. My life style has changed so I'm inside more and it's gotten worse and worse.

Right now I'm thinking that the only way out of the hell of never having a functional family or losing my sister is to end it first. Like sure maybe mike will miss me a little but I don't contribute much to society anyway. I'm a coward haha

And I'm nothing to her so nobody say I need to stick around for her.

It is this or completely cutting contact. If I try to be her caretaker I will be arrested. My family sees me as the enemy. I can either live my life or have it intertwined with theirs which will always make me fail and feel horrible pain.

Please don't tell me life is pain

Obviously I'm not going to kil myself but it helps to express that feeling of wanting out of a situation that seems to have no resolution or end. Family is bullshit ok. Theres a lot you can go through before reaching your breaking point. Their management of her illness is abuse and nothing else but it's so subtle and indeterminate that it won't get attention or be resolved.

My sister was involved with a man once accused (not convicted, somehow) of stalking a woman (he was caught outside her home with a loaded gun and 12k in cash). I think she didn't want to continue the case. He didn't deny it happened. Yet, because they agreed politically and ideologically, he was allowed to have a relationship with Shannon (whereas if I want to have sushi with her and paint her nails I can't because I'm the root of her illness). This guy ended up drugging her multiple times. He manipulated Shannon to convince her friends to have sex with him. Terrible things.

Before all that- I had called her therapist and tried to tell her because I was extremely concerned about the stalking thing. I got an "okaaay" and my family was very angry at me then. Yet now Jeremy is also blamed as the root of Shannon's illness rather than an exacerbation after the abuse he did came out. Nobody wanted to listen to me before that. That was two years ago.

There is no way out and no resolution because I try to be rational. My mom complains about the mess she's on and how they're what's making her ill and I say "trust the doctors". My dad meddles with them. If I told her psychiatrist that THEY WOULDNT BELIEVE ME BECAUSE MY DAD'S BEEN THERE FIRST. That's like the story of my life: gaslighting and manipulation. I don't want to try
To do anything anymore
