Dangelo's album is going to tank. No one cares about neo soul anymore. It was just a fad. It's all about alternative R&B now. A totally different sound. He's not going to be able to compete with the Weeknd or Jhene Aiko or PartyNextDoor or Jessie Ware.

It's also kind of a case of Dangelos generation no longer being relevant since its millenials who are leading the way in R&B and taking it in new directions.

Erykah Badu is cool. Still never heard of D'Angelo and I'm in my late 20s.

Manson's new album just leaked today. It's also better than MTAE, while we're here.

I much prefer Brown Sugar his first album. I can listen to that one all the way through. I would always find myself wanting to skip tracks on Voodoo.

Seems all urban album titles have the words 'black' or 'brown' in them. What's that all about?

I just think it's funny that I'm ignorant because I've never heard of a musician in a genre I don't frequently listen to. Lol

To be fair though, Taylor Swift is already in the top like 50 top selling artists of all time. I'd seen the name D'Angelo before. It wasnt foreign to me. But i couldn't name you a song or tell you what he looks like.

Trots thinks everyone is racist. He's a race-baiter just like Elphenor is a feminist-baiter. The moral crusaders of netphoria.

MTAE comes in at #30 according to Hits Daily Double with 22,229 albums sold. Not sure if their calculations are different from Billboard, so I'm not sure where BB will have them on their 200 list.
