Default zwan setlist on ebay mentions new/unheard title "wake the ghost"

This is a piece of paper with what looks to be Billy Corgan's handwriting. It came from a music studio in Hollywood where Zwan was recording at the time. My friend worked there and gave this to me.

Looks like his writing matches the setlist for the Pomona show played a few days later. Check spfc.org for 11/16/2001 Pamona show setlist.
so i guess this paper (if real) is a list of studio songs being worked on while zwan was recording and the other part of it is a setlist for a live show.

because of its placement i would assume its the title of a jam that got tagged along with "spilled milk" maybe. also because one part of this is studio titles being worked on maybe it sheds some light on what studio version may exist of live-only songs? i'm not knowledgeable about the zwan recording sessions at all. anybody know anything about this?

i'd assume that these are songs that were being rehearsed, not recorded. that friend can say what he wants; i think it's just more likely that they were rehearsing for the upcoming shows (the songs match the early setlists), rather than start recording stuff, at that time.

but that's just a guess, of course. maybe they were recording *EVERYTHING!*
twelve-disc zwan box set! mary star of the sea remastered! even louder now! seven different recordings of baby let's rock. any minute now!

yea the rehearsal theory makes sense, especially since the dates are so close to the first shows

but one can hope

I thought it was pretty well known that Zwan played an art gallery opening/charity event (I forget exactly) with Bonnie Prince Billy the week before their first announced shows. This is probably the setlist for that show.

I remember posting the press release about it on the oboard at the time, but it was always deleted because there was still that "Skullfisher mystery" over who was playing bass and the press release revealed it was Pajo. I don't think a ton of people knew it happened but it was definitely semi-general knowledge, albeit forgotten, back in 2001. The fact a setlist/recording never got out probably has led to it being forgotten, even by spfc.org.

EDIT: http://landslide.2007.org/omnipedia/timeline01-03.htm <-- Link I found confirming some sort of show happened that week. It says its for a hospital, but I recall distinctly it being at an art gallery. IDK. I don't really care about this enough to do more digging.

EDIT #2: Quite possibly the song is Dust My Broom with an earlier title.

EDIT #3: Here's where I posted about it on a Dinosaur Jr./Indie board back in November 2001: http://www.freakscene.net/forums/discussion/2396/ Date doesn't quite match up with the one on the "setlist" in question is probably a rehersal show or recording session. IIRC, that guy on that thread Matty Qui 9 was a recording engineer and told me the names of several Zwan songs months before the first shows. If anyone wanted to try tracking him down, I know he assisted in recording of demos of Chrysanthemum and several other songs.

Yep. Did someone just add this to spfc? That was the first place I went to look and I swear it wasn't on there leading me to google for the last half hour but now its up there. I must be getting old.

looks like it is indeed on spfc.org too: http://www.spfc.org/tours/date.html?tour_id=908
i'd be surprised if this was added in the last 30 minutes. maybe you just looked over it.
