Default guitar pedals made for sp tone.

I find it quite charming that quite a few boutique pedal makers take it upon themselves to package the siamese dream tone in a stompbox. I don't know many other bands who get this kind of treatment. These are the ones I know about - ROUND EM UP!

sustain punch creamy dreamer (big muff mod - billy actually used it)

skreddy mayo pedal (fetching quite a bit on ebay now it seems, rare)

devi ever rocket distortion

i've never heard or played through a creamy dreamer, but the lansbury font seems like a good way to sell what are essentially big muffs to fanboys.

oh god the worst one i saw was a good buddy of mine then and now... super fantastic pumpkin fan, bought a ridiculous amp called the Millennium Johnson - it was one of those amps that, especially in the early, um '00's... was supposed to imitate other amps as well as pedals. needless to say it was the worst grand he ever spent, and we weren't rich. but yea...

the name of the sound was "Smashing Bumpkins"

and it only sounded cool if you were standing right next to it in a small room. every sound on that damn waste box died the minute you put drums in the room, no matter how loud you turned it up.

I owned a creamy dreamer for a while (after owning one of those green big muffs). It did sound quite a bit better than the sovtek, but it only sounded "right" through my marshall head (jcm900 lead something or other), not very good through my other amps.

My friends electric fake drums had a 'Jimmy C' preset.

Most Muff style pedals sound terrible in full band contexts...which is why SP ditched them live...which makes these even more fanboyish.

Twas the creamy dreamy, and I believe he recorded with that pedal direct to the board with the guitars on everlasting gaze and heavy metal machine.. or at least I read that somewhere. and guitar tone twats want to correct me on that?

I own the creamy dreamer and still use it for fuzzy leads.. it sounds great, but like the big muff you have to be extremely careful of what settings you have it on.. it can go from sounding like beautiful fuzz to absolute muddy crap.

as for the kid who built billy the creamy dreamer..., billy politely told the kid "thanks, nice pedal"
and then the kid went around the internet saying that billy used his pedal all over machina.
Billy corgan is on record saying that the kid was a twat and full of shit.

so "creamy dreamer > console" is bullshit.
that pedal builder was known for ripping off peoples designs, lurking messageboards for advice and them claiming he came to the discoveries all by himself.
typical SP fanboi pussy.

it's a decent fuzz regardless. no worth over 150$

Oh interesting.. could you find the exact quote or where/when billy responded to this?

the pedal sounds great, though. I paid $80 for it. The same guy was going to develop another pedal called the 'rocket tube' but he went out of business pretty fast.

Hey Paranoid. I'd be willing to pay some decent coin (or do a trade) to get that Creamy Dreamer off of you.

http://www.cubisteffects.com/2009/08...reamy-dreamer/

& the kid even claimed the band wanted an "endorsement and a signature series",,,, lol.
any decent honest pedal builder would have never behaved like this kid did.
considering he never released another pedal speaks enough to me.

he'd also charge 80$ for "the mod" to your muff, regardless of the model... what a clown.

edit: his name is Jeff Doucette

Well, that still doesn't prove Corgan said he was full of shit, and didn't use the pedal (actually, this article says he used it on a tour, which I've never heard of). It also doesn't say he didn't use it on Machina, it just says that it was NOT the one used on Siamese Dream. Also, where's the line about the endorsement?

Spacegirl.. that's a tough sell.. I love this pedal and still use it often. What are you willing to pay, or what do you have to trade?

got a v5 big muff from the 80's, pretty sick

never going to get that siamese dream sound from just a stomp box though. you need the strat with the lace sensor pickups, tone rolled back, jcm-whatever amp with kt88's, and about 5 other guitars playing at once.

You should record the audio of your videos from mic'd cabinets rather than using the camera's microphone.

... or I could continue to do things my way which has been working out pretty well the past 8 years I've been in business running things fairly successfully with out any regard to what some random person on the internet thinks I should be doing with my business.

... and if you meant the little kitty kat jam ... uh ... same thing. Who cares? It's just a little jammy jam.
