I thought the tumblr premise was a little condescending like "oh this is what 'millennials' do" but yeah i'm curious what was so magnetic about it. and keanu reeves as a doctor was certainly jarring. that one girl losing the baby made me cry cuz I was preggers when I watched it and extremely EXTREMELY afraid of miscarriage/stillbirth. not a great movie honestly but there aren't too many that tackle the subject that aren't just cringey documentaries.

yeah, that was sad. I kind of saw that coming, though... a pregnant women in an ED Group home in a movie. Nothing good is going to come of it. They really wanted to push as many buttons as they could.

the things i liked about the movie were really separate from the plot, which was a mess. Like the chew and spit scene. Finding the puke bag. She did that thing with her fingers around her arm, which I do all the time. Also, although i know they did a lot of camera, make up work and maybe some GCI in the scene where she weighs in I think it made here look honestly anorexic. Most of the lousy movies about EDs use normies to play anorexics, which makes it unbelievable.

As far as documentaries go it's been a while since I watched "Thin." I used to watch it to trigger myself.

I'm still facebook friends with like 5 people I met in my last treatment center. Huge age range, too. 5 years ago. One of them just relapses over and over. She's in California getting help now.

Agreed, especially with pot in a state like Washington. But drugs like meth and cocaine (and pretty much everything BUT pot) can have lingering side effects even when you're not actively high on them. So companies don't want to put up with that. I've known too many junkies that I'm on the fence with my feelings about it.

Yes it is bullshit. But right now it us precisely the thing I need. After I got fired I spent three weeks in a thc haze (dabs). I did nothing but brood. I got super antisocial and my psychosis got hella worse. This is like a blessing in disguise or a sheep in wolfs clothing if you will (ironic).

And yeah ILP being sober is a total mindfuck. After a while being stoned becomes normal. Then being sober becomes almost like getting high.

I have smoked weed on probably 2/3 of all days since Fall 2008. I also have severe depression and anxiety but am pretty high functioning, never noticed weed impairing my ability to complete tasks or think or write or anything when I am not actually high. This summer I went almost 7 weeks without smoking which was my longest break in many years, and I noticed zero difference in my cognitive skills, reactions times, blah blah.

I don't doubt that a lot of people are inevitably impaired all the time if they smoke too much weed but I honestly couldn't tell a difference except in my tolerance for weed.
