same here. I was really excited, but god damn, some of us worked today and standing in front of NOTHING is tiresome, I'm not 16, nobody here is.
Either don't announce that a show starts on time or bring out an opening band. yawn.

haha six rows back, like anyone up front could move!

finally, have a good one, folks!

Ok not worth weeping over. But that was amazing.

But now I'm kinda mad we didn't get Ava adore! It's amazing what a competent drummer can do.

He kind of screwed up Zero in that clip. I mean, it's his first gig, so I'll cut him some slack, but still.

I took a video of SIYL (randomly) and Silverfuck that I'll try to get up tonight. Unfortunately, my new phone does not seem to do a good job of autofocussing. The sound...exists.

Very quickly, some thoughts on the set:

Being Beige
One and All
- were pretty good.
Hummer
-Brad maybe ending the song a hair too early. I think it was this one.

Tiberius
-This song is cool live. I only listened to the album preview once so I don't really remember it from before.

Tonight, Tonight
-sounded like a rehearsal, but I'm not really counting that against them yet

Drum + Fife
Glass and the Ghost Children
-different arrangement. Not as painful as '07. Started with bass and drums, but no drum intro. It wore out it's welcome. If you're going to rearrange this, please make it shorter BC.

Stand Inside Your Love
-eh, never too into this one.
? Monuments?
DROWNDROWN DROWN (all is forgiven, forever)
-always nice to hear again. another "i'm watching them rehearse this" feeling though.
Disarm
-some floor toms at the end but nothing too interesting. time to retire this one.
Zero
-nothing fancy. it does its job well as a crowd pleaser.
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
- #1 song that needs to go away from live shows imo. it was...okay. usually i dread having to sit through it again. maybe I only paid attention because of the new guys but it was tolerable, and for a while, enjoyable.

Fame [Bowie]
-this was awesome
Silverfuck
-this was mostly awesome. new arrangement with a thrash section.

encore:
Burnt Orange-Black
-weird song to close with, but I don't have any problems with it yet I guess. It's kind of generic.

Of the new guys, Brad seemed the most nervous. There were definitely moments were you could tell "Oh right, he was in RATM" by how he went with brute force instead...well imitating JC. He doesn't imitate JC, at all. I don't know if I'm explaining that right, but I'm tired because I too, worked all day and waited in line to be in front.
Jimmy = grace, Brad = SMASH HARD. No judgement yet.

Mark, on the other hand, seemed completely focused on what he was doing. He didn't have a mic, so he didn't say anything. In fact, he barely looked up. Musically, he fit in perfectly and he did move around and get into the songs. It feels like maybe Mark had more time to prepare maybe? Anyway, he was great I thought. I already liked him from The Killers though.

Sorry for rambling. Just wanted to get my initial thoughts out.

maybe he practised longer by himself? I think they started the actual band rehearsal all together.
I thought he'd do backing vocals (or even "second" vocals like Nicole) since he has a good voice, but either that would have been too much in this short rehearsal phase, or they don't want to?

I was so hoping to hear a RATM cover, that would have been hilarious. Billy yelling "fuck you I won't do what you tell me", I need to hear that.

re recs: I fucked up the video, not enough space and I was tired, but somebody else audiotaped. don't know yet how it turned out.

some stuff is also in the dec 5 thread http://forums.netphoria.org/showthread.php?p=4117832

oh we, we looked nice from the balcony! 2:24

and the new song was indeed Monuments

The setlist is a bit boring ... SIYL, Zero. BWBW, DIsarm ... heard a 1000 times live.
I´m going to Berlin, but I think I will get the same. Btw: Pumpkins will be on German TV Show "Circus Halligalli" (PRO7) next monday (Tickets for the show are sold out).
