PHREAK
I am never going to live that name down.

I'm not annoyed by the fact that he didn't like the songs, more so that he bashed somebody's opinion on something he hasn't even heard half of.

Drunk Girls is the worst song on the album and I Can Change is kind of a slow burner within the context of the album. Try "Dance Yrself Clean"

I didn't bash his opinion, I bashed the songs, and even then, I said i was indifferent to them.

i can see what people might like about that but i'd never listen to anything so annoyingly upbeat

actually i don't think many people here do. i don't know where pasta of muppet got the impression we're all these fashionable hipster types. pretty sure most of us like mbv, sy, vu and t (television)

The Black Keys- Brothers
Darker My Love- Alive As You Are
Tame Impala- Inner Speaker

I would have included The White Stripes- Under Great White Northern Lights, but it is music performed from three years ago. The Stripes should have released it in '08. Good but not great.

so what do you have to offer as far as albums of the year?

i mean really all you're doing is wearing ignorance like some kind of awesome "i'm not a hipster" medal

fuck is wrong with you

The Oneothrix Point Never album is top 10. Same with the Emeralds 2xLP. That's a hipster list.

yea but there's all those 7" vinyls of out-takes though! /sarcasm

talking to j .elliot you'd think emeralds is like the doors or something. and m. mcguire is the lizard king.

i don't know about Best, but my favorite album released this year has been "The ArchAndroid" by Janelle Monae. I can listen to the whole thing without getting bored at all, even 6 months later. i am so impressed by it. not everyone's cup of tea though, i'm sure.

i also really enjoy Body Talk part 1 by Robyn. same sort of thing as above.

teen dream by beach house, for sure.
