Default I don't see how someone could truly believe that God doesn't exist...

...really I don't. Every scientific teaching in the scriptures is perfectly aligned with what science has proven; how could people writing this stuff thousands of years ago know that the earth was created in a specific order? How could they know that everything in the universe falls in a perfect order of laws (gravity, nuclear forces, electromagnetics, i.e the periodic table of elements)?

And here is the big question, if God doesn't exist, then please explain to me how everything came from nothing? Seriously, think about it for a moment, if there was a random big bang, caused by nothing at all in particular, that somehow caused the creation of all life, matter, mass, forces, etc... Then how in the world did the initial building blocks of the universe get there in the first place to even have a big bang?!?! And how do you explain all of the prophecies that have come true?

God's word is flawless, and I am not turning a blind eye to it, but when you truly learn the the entire bible, the overall message is perfect and very simple, but you have to really WANT to learn it and find someone to help you with it. Pray to Jehovah, ask Him for help.

if it was a trick he was pulling on me it was a pretty decent ruse but honestly, i would be happier if bigfoot existed than a god

in a vacuum, bigfoot's existence is almost infinitely more likely than god's

no one else thinks it's really stupid that whenever anyone mentions god or abortion there are immediately 37 posts along the lines of "OMG THIS THREAD IS GONNA BE SO LONG YOU'RE ALL DUMB LOLOLOLOOLOLOLPLOLOLKOKDJHFHKUASGBFW@!#!@!@!"

it's a little weird, guys.

removing creationism from public (and private) schools is all fine and good but renaming christmas to "winter solstice" is where i draw the line

I don't see how anybody COULD believe in God. Aliens, however, I get.

That being said, I agree with this guy:

I'm pretty sure the 'christmastime' season was called the winter solstice long before jesus christ walked the earth. The persians, chinese, and celts all celebrated winter solstice in their calenders in the BCE. Has nothing to do with fucking mangers or a cross.
I grew up in public school, and i remember when 'christmas break' was changed to 'winter break'. no big deal.

same goes for easter and the spring equinox.

i truly do not believe in a god.

Who was writing about specific order of things thousands of years ago? the chinese? most of the 'creation' whether it be scientific or otherwise was never known in any specific order before the 1800s. Have you ever taken an astronomy class?

The periodic table wasn't really formed until the late 1860s.
Electromagnetics again was in the 1800s and Einstein studied the theorys of electromagnetism and that brought him to the Theory of Relativity.
Not thousands of years ago. hundreds til now. science evolves and technology evolves and only NOW do we have any secure sense of wtf is going on in the universe.

Dark Energy
The big bang theory didn't even arise til the early-mid 1900s.

prophecies of what? from whom? You could take these 'prohecies' from the Book of Enoch or the Torah or Rasputin or Nostradamus or wherever and get them to fit perfectly with an event that happened in history. Its like having an answer and finding a question to fit it. Whatever. Anyone can do that- the book of Corinthians said i was going to get laid this week- and i did! Doesn't have anything to do with a God. fucking Joseph Smith was a 'prophet' who got thousands and more moving out West because "god appeared to him" in the woods of new york state. now we have mormons.
Many believe numerology can predict events based on math and patterns in time. Does that have anything to do with a god?

None of these books have "God's word". they have other peoples accounts of what THEY interpret to be god's word. I could tell you God was speaking to me, and would you believe me? If i wrote it into a book? or would i be a heretic and possibly insane (i e joan of arc). Pray to Jehovah? GTFOutta here.

Are you aware that they got the order completely wrong, though?

that's it. i'm not expending anymore effort because I'm not sure if the original post is serious or satire.

and the fact that there is almost no difference between a serious take and the satire of it illuminates just how stunningly ignorant the serious take is.
