Default S.P. and Veruca Salt

I got a strong Pumpkins vibe when I listened to their first album American Thighs. Get Back, Spiderman '79, Wolf, Fly and 25 remind me a lot of Siamese Dream era songs. I wonder what Billy thinks of them. I know James and Nina Gordon are friends / associates and worked together on a Pumpkins song so I imagine he's ok with them.

I don't recall ever reading any specific comments Billy has made about Veruca Salt. I imagine he supported them as a fellow Chicagoan. Though there's the distinct possibility he believes they ripped off his sound and resents them like he does Bush. Because that album's sound has that same feel of being completely wrapped in a fuzzy blanket out of the dryer that I get from parts of Siamese Dream--like Soma.
But even if they did fit the mold of 1994 alternative rock, that's a quality album, and their voices together are truly outstanding.

Nina Gordon solo albums were hit or miss though. "Tonight And The Rest Of My Life" starts very strong, yet it's almost unlistenable by the end.

She was still hot in 2006 after that Graffiti album. I'm sure she ages gracefully.
