Dear themadcaplaughs,

I hope you don't deem it an impertinence, but I took the liberty to shorten and correct your somewhat wordy, sentimental and downright tedious post.

Please peruse the edited version and give me your thoughts; and pray forgive me if I have overstepped a boundary without seeking prior permission; and believe me when I say that I did it for your own good and the good of the Netphorian reading faithful.

Yours,
Candy Cane.

I imagine d'arcy would talk back to billy all the time and keep him in line.
james would do the opposite and use silence against him forcing billy to work and seek his approval. All for the best results.
I think this is very astute. At this point though William's so much richer than both of them and brags about being one of the great artists of the 20th century. I fear even if Darcy and James were around they would no longer be able to check him.

of course.

but we were talking about the studio environment

for the record i think it's bullshit that corg took almost all the writing credit, even on songs like silverfuck which were live creations primarily

Can you really go wrong if it's just a bunch of unreleased Zwan tracks from the early 2000s and you've got Jimbo, James and Jebediah present? Still sure that's what this is.

You've got Jimmy leaving during TBK sessions claiming he can't be part of something he's not invested in creatively, now he's back and they've got two guitarists and I'm assuming they're looking over this stuff he was a part of.

I mean, if you really want to steel yourself for disappointment, just strap yourself in and realize right now you're never going to hear Chrysanthemum the way you always imagined the studio recording would sound under Zwan. I'm cool giving whatever they put out a shot.

There were always flowers in the back.
And the person sitting in the back wears no blonde cap...

totally.

I think by the time they were working on adore billy was riding his own devices cutting out anyone's input. To me the the best songs on adore are shame and its' one of the few that has that 'band' feel to it.

And he probably ignored everyone during machina as well. D'arcy quit the band because she refused to wear the stupid ball room dresses and play the roles that billy came up with. (and drugs, but lets stick with my narrative). James did his part, and even the 'left after the last show and didn't say goodbye' was part of james' role that billy wrote for him. Billy too blind to even realize the cracks in the ice were gonna eat him alive.

What if James Iha's name was James Yeehaw? How would this make you feel? Would you still be a fan?

how many racist things do you think billys' said about james?
how many mysogynist things do you think billy's said to d'arcy?

I should make a poll. but i'm lazy, can one of the trolls do it?

Either way, it's still pretty awesome that we're gonna have another SP album with Jimmy on it!

If you take the production values from Monuments combined with the musicianship from Zeitgeist, you'd have a pretty fucking wicked album.

And then there were four...

Is JEFF playing a twelve string bass like CHEAP TRICK's TOM PETERSSON?

Hendrix famously played a 12 string bass on, what could be called, a classic rock, well.... Classic! All along the watchtower. Descending bass is phenomenal.

Jeff and Billy played on classics like Widow and run2meZ
