this is exactly the reason i don't listen to any of sp2/3/4/5/8 or go see them play live, so i don't hear the old pumpkins get butchered.

Thing is, we've already heard the new lineup playing renditions of classic songs on tour recently, so I think we roughly know how this would sound

Add that to the inevitable production mess and I just don't see the benefit to us

yeah. if i gave two shits about SP2 (I don't) I would probably wonder what the least worst songs would sound like if old TSP recorded them.
