So you are saying you've never heard that term before? "multi-instrumentalist"? Why is that exclusively an E6 thing? I'd heard the term long before I got into that E6 scene.

So are you going to answer my questions without juvenile attacks? Why were you so defensive in the first place?

Also, what's with the hipster thing? You guys like something I've never heard of and then you're mocking me for not knowing him. Wouldn't that make you the hipster?

It's one of those one-off Netphorian asides that I will think about later and laff and laff.

Super Rich Kids is a rip off of Bennie and the Jets by Elton John. Thinkin Bout You, Pyramids and Crack Rock are the best tracks.

The album overall is unremarkable. I thought the whole album was going to be as interesting as Thinkin Bout You and Pyramids. Whatever potential he showed with the first album hasn't amounted to much. Whenever the Weeknd gets around to re-releasing his work it's going to overshadow anything Ocean has done.

Jeremy rose isn't producing for him so probably.will sound more like burial ripoffs with vocals and less like exciting shit that made weeknd famous?

I read that Jeremy Rose is responsible for What You Need, Loft Music, and the Morning. But there are other great songs by the Weeknd such as The Party And The After Party, Thursday, The Zone, and Gone. It's not like Rose is entirely responsible for what makes the Weeknd great.

Have you heard of this guy by the name of Jamie Woon? He's also doing some interesting left field R&B. His first single Night Air was co-produced by Burial.

Yeah woon was kind of the example I had in mind when I made the comment

IMO roses tunes were the standouts with weeknd where as most of the other weeknd tunes sounded like.burial imitation productions

The Weeknd is supposedly in the process of signing with Bad Boy records. It will be interesting to see what kind of influence or input Puffy has on his work.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a producer who has actually out a record out that wouldn't give puff his props. From a classic hip hop sampling point of view the dude is fantastic

Plus he was established before biggie. If anyone made puff it was writing tunes for Mary j on what's the 411

I think anyone actually into hip hop in the 90s has a healthy respect for puffy. But lets say you're right and he's only.big because of the.biggie albums. He produced half of ready to die, did the beats on juicy, who shot ya, big poppa, etc and honestly half the appeal of ready to die was the.beats.
