It's 2017 and I'm only just now fully understanding how message boards from the '90s work.

Story of my life.

Yeah this was actually a blessing in disguise, Cause I'm traveling in less than 2 weeks to see Weezer outta town, and if I didn't have ID I'd be screwed.

Not that it's a blessing in disguise to be chilling with a guy who builds your trust and robs you for every cent on you, but hey, it could have been worse.

I really wanted to chase the guy down at the time... But in hindsight, I'm glad he outran me. I could have got stabbed or who knows what... Not worth the bother over 200 dollars.

nah the guy had me marked from the second we chilled. He was rolling a joint and asked if I had a card to level it out with so I pulled out the wallet and got one, and I realize now he was just eyeing to see if I had any money in it. Besides, we weren't even talking any politics. The whole thing was a total set up, not just a "this guy sucks, I'm gonna rob him" kind of deal.

Oh come on man... If he was some pale white guy I would have said as much, or if he was some tanned white guy I would have said as much, I would have said as much if it was some Italian guy or some Indian guy or some Chinese guy or some first nations guy or some fat guy.

I know racists always talk about black people robbing people and they're racist pieces of shit, but I'm just talking about what actually happened to me

lmao. Yeah man, I was raging at the time. But quite honestly, in hindsight: the money or the betrayal wasn't worth getting in some fist-fight with some guy who is god knows who because who the hell knows what could happen as a result or what he might pull.

wrong again, dumbass. The guy made a comment about the Warriors baseball cap I was wearing and that started the conversation.

Poots, that is very kind and considerate.

Trotsky, I too apologize for acting out of anger... You're a troubled man who deserves our love and support.... not our anger...

The truth is that my identification being gone would have screwed me over far more as I already have things planned than the 180-200$ that he ripped off... So the fact that he ripped out the money and threw back the wallet was actually pretty awesome.

That was beautiful. I don't deserve to have my name associated with your act of senescitude.

You have taken my abject joke-form and elevated it.

You made it easier for him, but he may of hit you up anyway and the money may have saved your ass from worse. In the cities, smart savvy wealthy people who have studied criminology a bit, carry as much as 2 to 3 g's in cash in case of getting robbed. The profiles of such criminals most often need cash for a quick fix of drugs or to get out of some crisis but are not willing to do time for anything but the robbery itself. The cash de-escalates the situation and its over quickly.

I know that violated feeling. Be glad it wasn't some bath salt freak, all bets are off with those guys.

Intelligent people that have studied criminology elect to carry large amounts of cash on the off chance they're robbed?
