I'm not a drum expert, and usually cannot tell a lot of the subtle nuances people her can detect, but even I can tell Byrne could not handle that song.

During the Pinfield interview in 2011, Corgan mentioned he always considered it the weakest song on the album, and really only put it on after D'arcy and Jimmy convinced him it was worth keeping. He also said they were the ones who pushed to play it live. He said the same thing about "Geek U.S.A." as well, but admitted he grew to love that song, but never felt entirely comfortable with "Quiet."

And we wonder why this man makes such track list choices post-2000.

Jimmy's drumming on Quiet is great, no wonder he wanted it on the setlists. Also Darcy seems to really enjoy playing it on the Vieuphoria version.

I mean, Quiet is the weakest song on SD. We could’ve had Hello Kitty Kat, Frail and Bedazzled, or Pissant in its place and they’d all work better

Quiet is way better than Pissant.

Also I've always felt Spaceboy was the weakest song. I've still not found anything about that song that moves me.

I love those 3 Pisces songs but Quiet is amazing and essential

With Billy considering it a weak song, it's pretty bold having it as the second song on an album they weren't totally sure would break them or make them.

I don't like Quiet either, i'd rather have the BBC Session version instead.

Billy’s weakness is that he has contempt for his past catalog. Unlike someone like Robert Smith who still plays songs from the Cure’s first album even.

The double stroke roll into the single stroke 32nd note roll is one of my favorite things in the world

I went to the last Lolla show and I remember that he said that it would be the last time that they would play this song. I'm still not sure why since it sounded great live.

I'm still looking for a tape to confirm this, but I'm pretty sure he did say it before Quite.

Sweet Sweet is better?? *That's* the worst song on SD. Always felt it was pointless.

Quiet is amazing and one of the top 5 for me.

Of all the heavy songs on SD, Quiet is the weakest. Still a damn good song tho.
