I quite love my maschine 1 and am ok with its workflow process. It is all different though. I liked cubase sx A LOT. I've I'm ok at pro tools. There's logic. And many more. It's all nuts.

i've just never had the opportunities to have someone walk me through the processes. like for instance i understand how all the stuff works for the most part but nobody has ever been like "oh just buy this and then by this and boom you can do all these things now"

like i mentioned earlier i'm not even 100% sure how sequncers work. they're like programmable loopers right?

and for example i like that effect where you can drastically adjust the eq on the fly (kind of like analog synth knob twisting)

and a midi keyboard just basically lets you assign a sample-based voicing to the keyboard and you can play whatever right?

that's essentially where my knowledge of these things are. i've just never had the opportunity to actually play with these things ever.

i'm mostly interested in the cheapest, smallest, and most cost-effective way to generate a midi signal as BPM because i have a pedal that's BPM determined but it doesn't have a digital adjuster like my other pedals (this one is tap-tempo but it also accepts a midi in to set the tempo)

Reminded me of Alan Howarths score during the intro credits in Halloween 4 a bit, good stuff.

Yeah this rules. I'm gonna buy it once I get my paypal sorted.
You mentioned northeast ohio awhile back and I asked where you were from. I never responded but I'm from Cuyahoga county, south of Cleveland a little.

One of my bands called Mine just released our first EP yesterday. Check it out, we are a post-punk band and we kinda sound like The Fall.

Lying(on the floor) is my favorite

Guitar sounds a lot like GoF with that use of feedback

Yes! Thanks for remembering.

This band Mine was actually created to cover some shows that Awkward Bodies couldn't play (because our drummer failed to tell us he was going to Hawaii), and really half the band is Awkward Bodies--I'm on bass here instead of guitar (although I am running my bass through an octave pedal and then splitting the signal, the dry to a bass amp and the wet to my pedal board and then through a guitar amp, effectively creating a "second guitar" doubling the bass), the singer from Awkward Bodies is the guitarist, his girlfriend is singing and we have an old freind as a drummer (whom we played with in our first band in high school like 17 years ago). We literally formed the band and wrote all our songs in a week. People seemed to like it, so we just kept going. So now we're doing both bands simultaneously.

Awkward Bodies has about 3/4ths of a good new record written and rehearsed, we're kinda road-testing the new material now and waiting around to get that final 1/4th written and go into the studio in March or April.
