I can understand this sentiment in a place with four seasons and real winter. But I hate Los Angeles in the summer. It's the worst part of the year. Well, for me at least. The sun hurts my skin and eyes. More clouds please.

We got an unusual amount of rain this year (which was still barely any) and things actually turned green for a short while. I can't remember the last time it was green in Los Angeles. That quickly passed however and everything is arid and brown once more.

I'm from Los Angeles. I moved to Chicago for three years and then came back. I would probably still be in Chicago should my career goals have allowed for it. I'm working my way towards being able to leave eventually but I'm not sure how long that will take.

oh, i see. i came to chicago by way of texas close to 6 years ago and am considering a move to LA where my bro and cousin live... this is assuming i get a major scholarship to attend 1 of the 6 schools i am applying for (3 are in LA).

did you get rid of all your hardcore winter gear when you left here or is it in storage cause you never know when you'll be back?

It's in a shed in our backyard. I get to come back pretty often and sometimes it's in winter so I still get use out of it. We also visit my girlfriend's family in the mountains in Oregon sometimes for holidays so it's still good to have. I wish I could wear coats and hats more often.

I know most people love the weather out here but it's not for me. If you're from Texas and you like the heat then you will probably enjoy it. There are some things I like about Los Angeles. The mountains and the ocean are nice. I live far enough from the ocean that I don't get to see it as often as I would like though. It could always be worse though.

Public Policy or Pre-Law but I will probably choose to major in Chicano Studies on top of that. And then I will apply to law school or just get my master's in Public Policy if I am turned off by the idea of law school by then. I am looking at UCLA, USC, and Loyola Marymount.

I like school (this is new to me), but I am not sure how much.

I wish i could go to an all-girl's school, but that's not a priority.

Yay!

Part time at a health food store and part time at a warehouse sorting children's books.

Hopefully back to doing security later this year, though!
