Just a song from a show last week. Easter egg in the middle for those paying attention. |

i haven't felt like playing electric guitar much the past couple months so i've moved to learning country blues songs on an old resonator with a brass slide. i've been drinking more, too, as a result.

What am I supposed to delude myself into thinking what I do is great and by having such confidence in myself make other people believe it actually is? Is that how this works........wait...it IS how it works isn't it? I guess now I know why I failed at life.

oh
do you know how much effort I put in into not sounding like The Cure though? Well......... not that much admittedly but I put some...sometimes. I don't think this sounds much like the cure by my usual standards. Now if you were to say it sounds like I ripped off The Chameleons........ I mean yeah essentially im ripping off anything that came out of england between 1980 and 1985 and was deemed either pop, post punk or new wave. I wasn't trying to sound whiny by the way when I first posted it, I just feel down on how ghetto my gear is which really seems to hampers my "ambitions" as a "songwriter" (that's a Squier Strat mini in that song, a 100$ guitar usually meant for kids or people with small hands). does it not sound out of tune to you? It really does to me. Maybe its because I also have ghetto speakers....there's no g(h)ett(o)ing out of it. |

Super rad I like the selection of sounds and the vibe. Looks like I can't play the original to compare.

A track called "No Control" that I collaborated on with Chicago-based vocalist Susan a.k.a. It Was July got played on the D.R.A.G. Radio Show on 102.4 Redroad FM in the UK this week...
Neorev ft. It Was July - No Control (Live On Drag Radio Show 102.4 Redroad FM) http://www.soundcloud.com/neorev/neo...024-redroad-fm A pretty cool moment... been producing for 15 years, but it's only been the last 5 years or so when I felt that it was time to start putting my work out there more. I do mainly electronic music with some rock and hip hop influences. "No Control" is one of my more rockier numbers. It was fun getting to work with a vocalist. Susan is very talented and is also a producer herself. She's been fronting bands for years, mostly country music. But now she writes and producers her own industrial pop music. I like working with people from different styles, helps push you in new directions and gets you thinking outside your own box that you can get trapped in. So I've been working with vocalists a lot more as well as some local rappers. Here's the studio version of it... http://www.soundcloud.com/neorev/no-...aturing-it-was Hope you enjoy, -Mike Last edited by MyKeyZ : 09-11-2014 at 09:33 PM. |

just spent the last two hours studying with the last few pages of stuff here as the soundtrack. for the most part even stuff i didn't like was at lesat pretty out there. that botrous bubba song ruled. and the awkward bodies album is really fantastic pretty much front to back. i would totally see you guys. "al feelings reflected within were fleeting and nearly all has been resolved" is an excellent disclaimer
anyway i made this thing on my own a couple years ago: http://pintogreen.bandcamp.com |

Listening to your stuff now.. Wow, it's a hoedown! You are playing some nice licks! Hmmm it started streaming at track 7... It's very impressive many of the tracks are all different genres. Last edited by soniclovenoize : 09-12-2014 at 11:47 AM. |

I finally put all my most decent stuff on soundcloud but this is the same shit i posted before plus one new (the synthpop one, Flick, also not sure if id' put Floors up before or not) though i did do slight improvements on the mix of each. Still no fucking vocals cause i need to buy a new mic cause turns out the one i had was just less than satisfactory. It was either that or my gf (who's doing the vocals) was gonna kill herself. I suppose its weird to post songs that clearly are meant to have lyrics on but whatever.
To abstain if not 80's guitar pop-minded. |

My long forgotten project The curiously Strong Peppermitns just released this album the other day. It's a compilation of random songs and covers and stuff. It's free so give it a listen if you want.

put together a playlist of various things i've either recorded on or mixed/produced over the past year or so
part of a showcase for this warganized records "record label" thing i'd put together a coupla years ago, basically a way to have fun & help my friends mix, master, bla bla bla + get some artwork for their stuff while also havin another way of releasing mine or whatev, with at least some kind of extra incentive. but yep this was pretty much just a kind of a really brief summary of '14 and all its successes & disappointments + works in progress thank you for listening to my tale Last edited by Mals Marola : 10-23-2014 at 06:35 AM. |

my favorite part about this thread is that after a long lull, somebody posts with something seemingly relevent and then is quickly followed by a couple/few shameless totally non-important afterthought plugs

it's a thread called "thread for posting your musics"
in what world would a relevant post in here not be a "plug" |
