"The Smashing Pumpkins in Conversation"
If anyone had a file of this interview, it would be really appreciated I'm fond of band interviews. Thank you.
I used to own this, the "clock" version, not the regular CD which I didn't even know existed at the time. http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225...E1RxObKvHA.jpg I ordered it at the Club Dial (equivalent of the Columbia House Club) in 96 I think, it was on sale and I couldn't miss it, I really wanted it. BUT it stands as the worst Pumpkins item I ever purchased as the CD came all scratched - that part in the back where you're supposed to put the battery scratched the most part of the CD. I could play it in the end, but with a lot of clicks, as if the recording itself wasn't bad enough. |

I might just do that, thanks.I wonder if someone will care enough
If some of you never heard it, it's probably the poorest sounding interview I've ever heard ("The Great Pumpkin That Never Arrived" sounds better). There's more hiss than actual sounds from the interview. The british journalist who conducted it used a very cheap recorder that paused whenever there was quiet in the room. So there are cuts in the questions and in the answers. Very annoying. But it's from 92, and I remember Billy mentioning Reading as "one of the biggest disappointments in (his) life". |

For me it was the opposite : for years, I had no idea that a regular CD version of it existed No, I haven't heard In Conversation Pt. 2. Which interview was on that ? Is it the same as "The Great Pumpkin that Never Arrived" (Billy & Jimmy in the UK in 93)? |
