I don't know about cry but it would definitely be a mortality check for me. And confirm that there's no chance the music would get better again.
And you mean WHEN he dies. Right?? |

The end is the beginning is the end is the beginning...
Quantum theory posits (or from what I gather from watching YouTube clips that say fancy stuff) that all possibilities are realized - which includes the possibility that there is no death and Billy never dies in your reality. So, if Billy dies in your reality, why? |

I doubt it, but I would feel sad for quite a while. He already is and would be one of those "what the FUCK happened to that guy" stories. Post mortem, people would mainly ever talk about the good 90's stuff and forget the last 15 years ever happened. He would be remembered well due to the strenght of his best stuff.

BILLY and D'ARCY got nearly electrocuted at the premiere of their Mellon Collie-album at the Riviera, when the power failure happened.
https://archive.org/details/tsp1995-...0-23d1t04.flac BILLY got so much flash-cooked that he lost all his hair. D'ARCY got so obsessed by the experience that she lost her mind completely in getting even addicted to it: https://youtu.be/UWwGBXV07fA?t=27m26s |

BTW:
The SMASHING PUMPKINS were mentioned at an article of the BBC about The 7 most controversial dance fads in music You may ask yourself: WTF have the PUMPKINS to do with dancing except the few strange live performances with dancers? Here's the deadly reason: "Like the Charleston, the twist is performed without a partner but in a group, and the same applies to moshing - a combination of punk pogo dancing, heavy metal headbanging and slamdancing. And, as all rock fans know, although moshing seems to be an incitement to chaos, mosh pits are usually organised affairs with sets of rules to ensure people don't get hurt. Moshing endures, but it became a fad in the early-80s punk scene in the US before spreading to other forms of rock and also into raves. And although moshing is regarded by many as harmless fun, on occasion it can be overtly violent and dangerous. To protect their fans, Washington DC punk band Fugazi took a stand against moshing at their gigs in the 1980s and a small number of people have died as a consequence of being crushed or fighting in mosh pits, including at two Smashing Pumpkins' shows (in 1996 and 2007)..." So it didn't only happen in Dublin 1996... https://www.bbc.co.uk/music/articles...0-e3903f283522 |

SMASHING PUMPKINS Are 'Deeply Saddened' By Fan Death At Vancouver Concert September 27, 2007 SMASHING PUMPKINS have issued a statement regarding the death of a man at the band's concert in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Monday night (September 24) in what police think may have been a crowd-surfing or moshing accident. The Canadian Press reports that Vancouver police say the man was unconscious when he was dragged out of the crowd at the Pacific National Exhibition Forum during the show and worked on by first-aid personnel on site before being transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have ruled out foul play. Said the band: "The SMASHING PUMPKINS were deeply saddened to learn about the passing of a young man who attended their Vancouver show Monday night. As they and everyone else await news from the investigation into the nature of his passing, the band want to express their sincerest condolences to his family and friends." According to CBC News, Vancouver police said about 3,800 people were packed into the Pacific National Exhibition forum for the concert. A mosh pit and crowd-surfing — where a concert-goer gets tossed from person to person above the crowd — were part of the show. "A couple of people dragged a male out of the mosh pit toward security," police spokesman Const. Howard Chow said Tuesday night. "They called first aid right away. They tried to resuscitate him … They were unsuccessful." Laura Ballance, PNE's media relations officer, said crowd-surfing is allowed at concerts at the site, but discouraged by security. "This is an extremely unfortunate situation and there will certainly be discussion within the organization," she told CBC News, adding it would be useless to speculate on the cause of death. Watch fan-filmed video footage of SMASHING PUMPKINS performing in Vancouver this past Monday night (September 24): There is no confirmation yet that he died at "Death From Above"... |

Yeah, I was at that show. One of the best concert experiences in my life ( the boot sounds like shit, but I was at the peak of my fandom and the set-list was boss). That lighting rig was kick ass.
IIRC the death was later announced to be someone overheating on ecstasy or some shit. |
