the thing is i thought they did a reasonable compromise where all the remastered albums were on spotify and rdio but the bonus tracks weren't
why the hell would it be down now??

SD has to be the record that's currently selling the best from their catalog. Perhaps that may have something to do with it.

to be honest with you the cd is somewhere i can't remember and my mp3s are on another hard drive in a retired computer and i can just access pretty much anything I want (i mean obvious exceptions are obvious) from my phone/desktop and listen to it when i want it

do you have a flip top like a proper grungeosaur?

yes we understand you don't know what spotify is, you don't have to write a paragraph outlining how ignorant you are.

I'm from the O-Board and I can't even take this level of stupidity. I remember you being pretty chill though.

I seriously can't bring myself to explain to you the benefits of music streaming services. I feel my IQ dropping from this conversation already. Google it or something.

A. That's not even true.

B. You have to listen to the shitty youtube quality version (if it exists) probably after watching an ad. Or go through the pain of downloading it and possibly a virus (if you're using your computer. If you are on mobile you're just SoL)

C. Spotify is an incredibly convienient way of keeping all your music together and it is entirely reasonable to be angry about albums being removed at random.

In terms of the "artists not getting paid" thing. They do get paid, plain and simple.

And I'm sure as hell not going to purchase albums traditionally like it's the Stone Age.(I listen to way too much music for that shit) So instead of just torrenting and actually giving the artists nothing, I pay a monthly fee to listen to everything I could possibly want guilt free.

Music streaming services are like the greatest thing ever.

Plus, you can only listen when you have an internet connection, otherwise, you're using your data plan on your phone and probably paying more to hear disarm than you would otherwise. The quality of youtube is EXACTLY the same as any other streaming source like spotify. they're using the same bitrate as youtube. There is ZERO difference in sound quality. And "Keeping YOUR music together"??? It's not YOUR music collection. They're letting you hear what THEY have. Your music collection would be what you can actually load onto your phone.
Because I'm 20 and laugh at the idea of CD's. Talk about stupid

If you added up the amount of albums Ive used on my playlists it would cost the amount of a small car. Instead Ive probably paid about $100 dollars and Ive gained access to artists I never would have heard of otherwise.

I seriously have nothing better to do than talk about this honestly, however dumb.
Rhapsody gives me high quality streaming, way better than youtube which sounds like total ass.
Plus having access to all my music on any one of my devices even my phone is beyond amazing.
Then there's other cool shit like artist radio, bio's, and suggestions.

Wait, so you're okay with someone listening to a song on youtube where the artist gets literally nothing, but not on Spotify where the artists gets some money?

This makes zero sense, you get that right?

Live a little! Buy a cassette tape or two!
Does part of your music listening enjoyment require extreme inconvinience?
