i don't care for zombies or supernatural shit of any kind
the fantasy elements in game of thrones could be done away with and the show would lose little |

It's still so we'll regarded that it's another one I've wanted to revisit. I liked how it could be terribly serious one week and then fun and campy another. But I was also pretty young.

well, then you might as well go with wolf hall cuz a fantasy setting would be pointless without a touch of the supernatural

see i never cared much for the overarching alien plot. i prefer the self contained ones.

And that was overstating it, i can handle the qyburn/white walker/dragon stuff, it's just not my first pick of plotline |

the only show i made it well into but just couldn't finish was fringe. i never really liked it that much, but i just couldn't get through the last season and i tried a couple times. generally if i have any serious amount of time invested in a show, i see it through no matter how shitty they get. i.e. weeds, dexter

I recently finished watching Fortitude, which I believe I decided to do after seeing somebody mention it in this thread. Thanks to whoever that might have been, if anyone at all, as I quite enjoyed it.
Did anybody else wish they'd given Adebisi a little hat to wear for his appearance in that latest episode of Game of Thrones? |

I would be so much more inclined to watch this if it wasn't for his strong association with modern atheism. Like i'm glad there's popular science programs out there but NDT teaches kids that there's a binary between theism and science, which is a load of horseshit.

You're wrong. Tyson does not like to be labeled an atheist. He's not "strongly associated" with modern atheism. He doesn't like to use the term and for years he'd get offended when people called him an atheist or even asked him about his religious beliefs In one recent interview he stated that he adamantly objected to the public campaigns of people like Dawkins, Harris, etc. because he sees it as offensive and counter productive. To paraphrase, attacking people for their religious beliefs does nothing to help teach critical thinking and promote science. |
