It's still so we'll regarded that it's another one I've wanted to revisit. I liked how it could be terribly serious one week and then fun and campy another. But I was also pretty young.

the only show i made it well into but just couldn't finish was fringe. i never really liked it that much, but i just couldn't get through the last season and i tried a couple times. generally if i have any serious amount of time invested in a show, i see it through no matter how shitty they get. i.e. weeds, dexter

I would be so much more inclined to watch this if it wasn't for his strong association with modern atheism. Like i'm glad there's popular science programs out there but NDT teaches kids that there's a binary between theism and science, which is a load of horseshit.

You're wrong. Tyson does not like to be labeled an atheist. He's not "strongly associated" with modern atheism. He doesn't like to use the term and for years he'd get offended when people called him an atheist or even asked him about his religious beliefs

In one recent interview he stated that he adamantly objected to the public campaigns of people like Dawkins, Harris, etc. because he sees it as offensive and counter productive. To paraphrase, attacking people for their religious beliefs does nothing to help teach critical thinking and promote science.
