It will heal you.

3. Buy a loaf of bread, a pair of socks and some toilet paper. Give it to a homeless person. Ask them how their day is, tell them your name. Make their day better.

And if you can't quit cold turkey, tell yourself that if you do these things even for 1 day, you'll crack one beer at the end of that day. Control how much you drink.

Good sentiments. I'd add getting exercise outside. That's definitely an important one, and there's no better time to start than the summer. Get yourself a mountain-bike or start going for jogs. You'll feel better and appreciate yourself for going out and doing it.

there are no explanations for things like that. my ex's best friend will piss in the closet and sleep in the bathtub when he's drunk. not sure how one can confuse the closet for the toilet, ever. even at my worst i never peed anywhere but the toilet...
