I just don't understand how people/critics can say Diamond Eyes was a letdown and how Gore is amazing

It is not a bad album, but It is a step back from my point of view

i like Gore a lot actually
i think a thing that might put a lot of people off is the mixing of the record, which is a bit unconventional for them and more "dreamy" & static then a lot of their past stuff

the guitars (distorted at least) kind of sound like shit
i wish they woulda just had the koi no team working on this one, because there's new ideas in the songs but the mixing hurts it sometimes

Rubicon, Phantom Bride, & Hearts/Wires are some of my favorite tracks they've ever done though
